I got one last weekend - a black rollei 35S (made in singapore), and cant stop admiring it since. It just blows my mind to think that it is made in singapore!
Are there any fellow rollei 35 fans out there to exchange notes on this little mechanical beauty?

Hey.. I have a 35s too. Do u mind telling me where I can get the battery to try if mine's metering still works.. I love this camera, compact and sharp but using it with a light meter makes it not compact..
There's the xpan/Rf thing in here.. Can we Rollei35 users start something in here. This is a Made in Singapore camera. More meaningfull...

Am on my first roll this week. Cant wait to see the results - so cant feedback yet on how to estimate focal distance.
I was informed that the focal distance can be set via a tab on the focusing ring. On my rollei 35S at least, the options range from 0.9m to infinity.
Am I wrong to assume that that is how one tries to focus with this camera?
Hi, I too own a Rollei 35. On the distance scale u can see two distance settings (2 & 6m) in red color. If u r not sure of exact distance, setting to one of these markings (ie. 0.9-2m & 2-6m) will produce clear picture.
I would like to ask to set one of the distance. So I just point the 2m and 6 m scale to the center arrow? How about the aperture settings?
Here's my Rollei 35 Classic. Made in Germany, probably one of the last batches.
It has a Sonnar lens, very nice too, and different from the Tessar lens.

It was way too expensive when I bought it some years ago, but it is a beauty.
