Ricoh GXR! - Season II

Is the VF-2 EVF useful or is it just good to have? I saw the price and am interested to get but not sure is it useful to use with the A12 28mm

under bright day, it is always hard to look at the LCD. it would be helpful if u have VF2. How often u shoot under the sun ? or mainly indoor shoot.

@Felix: if you will use only 28/2.5 module, I don't think the VF is really needed! Personally, I use the VF mostly for the M module with longer lens to do manual focus (shootting from the hip or shallow DOF control). With the 28/2.5 under bright light, you will need to shoot at higher f stop anyway so the DOF is huge. For composition, you don't need to see clearly the screen as well!

Try it more outdoors and you know if u need or not. Likely yes, coz gxr LCD is not the best certainly. But if u decide invest on M mount. Definitely yes.
