Ricoh GXR! - Season II

Need to wait few day more to see if the separated S10 and A16 module are discontinued or not. From my understanding so far, only the GXR body alone or the GXR body + S10 or GXR + A16 are discontinue. The separated S10 or A16 are still on stock. Is that the hint for the new improved GXR body will be released soon?

Don't look too far out on the horizon. Still a Wish list
- integrated EVF
- Tripod hole is not off center
- better buffer / write speed

Even if they discontinue, I think we are fine using them. There should still be parts to service the A16, I think. The spares, parts inventory should last a couple more years. ;-)

Well... many talking about the new GR....i still
enjoying taking photo with my old GXR & GR lenses..

Very challenging taking fish moving in the tank with this 50mm marco..
Haha But i try.

Hope is not too bad...

It's been awhile the GXR had been out of touch ... Both using the Ricoh GXR + M-Module + VC 12mm (f13, iso-lo)

It's long long road ...

Colourful Clarke Quay

Looks really nice.

Would love to have that lens on my XE1 someday ;p
FW, it's a beautiful lens. I heard that Zeiss is coming up with one for Fuji, and possibly 12 f2? ;-)

Well, that's gonna be out of my reach if it's from Zeiss. Probably don't need AF for such a wide angle lens, your VC12 will get the job done ;)

i dont think CV 12 is sharper in Fuji than GXR, the only advantage is higher ISO capabilities of the fuji to compensate the slow aperture

Ya ... i was looking at my images on Sunday from the CV12 + GXR and I am still "blown" away. Of course, you are talking about someone like me who owns cameras of yester years.

The only thing about this cam is the blown highlights which is what it's really capable of destroying your morning shoot. So you really have to bring down the exposure down a bit more.

Well, I already have a Fuji, that's why I'm thinking of this one. Or probably just get a GR w/ 21mm adapter, it's probably still cheaper than buying the CV12 lens alone :)

2nd hand CV12 maybe a good price.

I doubt Ricoh sells adapter and 21mm cheap. I remembered seeing even the OVF really ex. But should still be cheaper than the CV 12. I hope :p.

For Jpeg shooter light me, the tendency to blow highlight is even more critical to be control!
