I should be getting the GR in about 2 weeks. I was trying to get some useful information in various forums when I accidentally found this forum.
I have only reached page 14 of this thread and still reading ... Just wanted to thank you guys for clarifying some of my doubts related to snap focus, LCD display off etc.

I think it's the whistle lanyard (it's a kind of knot). For my vocation I use the whistle a lot, and usually use this to tie to my SBO. It fits to my wrist perfectly! Those guys whose hands or wrists are big, may have a problem fitting it though.

Fine with my SanDisk ultra, but then it was also fine with this SD card too, until now. It seems I'm unable to delete the pictures even from my laptop. Trying to format the SD card using Windows Disk Management or application from https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/ does not help. I think it's because I formatted the SD card using Ricoh GR.

I also noticed those SD cards used with Ricoh GRD IV and GR are protected. Photos can only be deleted in camera not PC but still can transfer photos to PC and from PC transfer firmware files into the card.

Maybe you can ask for replacement from sandisk since other SD card are working fine with GR?
