Anyone can compare the price for 28mm OVF from Ricoh, Nikon, Voiglander, Zeiss, Leica?

Ricoh should be > 200? Need someone who just bought to inform.

VC 28 is 280 for the metal one. I don't recall seeing a plastic one these days.

Zeiss is definitely USD 400 - 600.

Leica, I don't want to go there.

Looks like you got the set at right price already, I am deciding between spending money for GV-1 or this GW3 + GH3 set.

Dun buy any or else you will end up selling it to me haha..

How about Nikon one?

I am planning to get the GF-1 (flash) tomorrow, GF-1 which can be served as slave flash, remotely triger by camera build in flash.
Anyone has experience using this GF-1 ?

Haven't got experience. After you get, please post more shots of what it can do?

Siao ... how to buy. Doesn't even contribute to the image!

The best bang-for-buck OVF for the GR right now is the Voightlander 28mm Brightline. Bought one last Saturday and it's great, bright, built like a tank, and the framing is almost perfect (5% off thereabouts within the framelines). $280 @ Chiff's.

Haven't seen the GR's official OVF yet, but both of them are made of plastic, smaller viewing size, and cost almost the same as the Voigtlander.

I only sell those i don't use often, sold my 2 Pentax Lens 35mm AL and 50mm and a Sigma zoom 70-300 I had to fund for GR.

Q n tiny lens - for zoom and macro and fish eye.
GR - for people , group outing and it has many buttons and settings to play with.
Kr+DA15mm- for landscape , waiting for the 10-24 from Pentax.
FF- probably don't need but the K50 looks interesting to replace Kr.

Hmmm.... Just thinking, would Ricoh have plan for a telephoto adapter?

It'll be crazily good if they can design a 70mm equivalent telephoto attachment just like the 21mm.

Then the GR would be deadly with a combo of 21mm, 28mm, 35mm and 70mm equiv.. *ouch*
:P

Anyone found a good camera pouch/case to protect this little gem when placed in bags? :D

If you don't need to house it with the GR converter ... Little Stuff It!

And if you need to house it with the GR wide converter ... Slim Changer

For my landscape endeavors, I'll just dump the camera and the converter into my front pocket of my Brady Ariel Small, and hold a Sirui t-025 in the main compartment with rooms to spare. ;-)

My GR with the free-of-charge Voitglander 25mm viewfinder :)

.... Free because it came with my Voitglander Color-Skopar 25mm f/4 lens ;)
Strangely even though it is for a 25mm lens, the view through the finder matches almost exactly what's on the GR's LCD display.

Really doubt they will consider a telephoto adapter ever since they scraped the 40mm adapter (GT-1) when releasing GRD 3. The IQ of the GT-1 was not as good as the WA adapter and there's also the infamous orange flaring, unless they managed to find a way to improve on both and still keep the size/weight manageable. What's more, the lack of telephoto is not a deal breaker for people who opt for GRD.

I am using the Lowepro Rezo 50. Very small and yet still have separate compartments for accessories.

Usually, OVF have a 85% - 90% coverage of the entire FOV. So it's close 28-29mm.

Hmm ... maybe I should try my 21/25mm OVF. :bsmilie: Frames the 28mm is almost exact, and then the 21mm framelines, 85% coverage.
