Rfsg-La Kopi sessions

Hi X, yes you are absolutely correct, my thoughts on RFSG is to make it into a vibrant and relevant special interest group, promoting not only photography in general but also to advance and educate our members. This agenda for this meeting is to discuss this future, from our charter & mission to the fomration of a steering committee to education to T-shirts & soft shutter releases, hence I was hoping for more of a forum. call it a town-hall meeting.

Having said that, I dont see any harm in arranging a shooting session after the "la kopi" session either, after all we still all love taking photos and it may even get more members to attend! So perhaps we should think about zoomp's suggestion....

I am a wee bit concerned that we may not have quorum....only 25% of the members are available and everyone should have a chance to voice their opinions....I was thinking maybe 2 sessions?

I think for the meeting it would be nice to touch on points on how we can introduce others to the world of RF. Introducing RF to the general crowd & give insights on what shooting RF is about in this DSLR era.

It would also be nice to be introducing shooting tips to rookies on RF photography, tips like hyperfocusing, zone focusing etc. would be good points to touch on to aid new users to get more comfy with a RF.


Also discussions to having small classes like B&W processing & further in depth dark room techniques would be really nice to have.


I would definetly would love to hear the other pointers from members as well if I am not suffering from hang over on Sunday :bsmilie: which most of the time happens.. haha!

it's RF in general... Most of the RF guys own both film and Digital bodies anyway. Welcome!

I would to say the initial humble motive of RF.SG is to create a rangefinder awareness in Singapore with the younger generations (the future) in mind and of of course with much guidance (poison) from the gurus here... and eventually we will be influencing so much that we will slowly proceeds to become a rangefinder religion (cult). At this stage RF.SG will be able to start spreading our umbrella over southeast asia with much help from our weekly news/flickr/convention/trading etc. (more viruses and poisons) and ultimately we will evolve into a NPO which generate enough revenue to buy stocks in Leica, Cosina and perhaps Canon and Nikon... :devil:

hahah...too bad I can't join this weekend ^_^\ too much things going on this sunday for me... hopefully I can attend one soon!

The meeting time is 3pm. Ealry birds, please go chope seats.

Primary objective is to discuss RF.sg. This should take us to 5:30pm.
Secondary objective is to go shooting somewhere (Dave suggested Tiong Bahru for "Urban Decay" theme).
