nice! how do you like it?
Hehehe, Hassy, Velvia or Kampong?
Hassy, nice but a little bulky I feel.
Velvia, just love the colors.
Kampong, only 5-10min there so didn't venture very far.
yeah for street.... it does feels bulky, unlike 35mm bodies.
okok guys, just a word from Dave's friend that if we head over to Kampong as a group... the residents there might feel intruded... :embrass:
IF we do go there and has to changed to plan B, we can head over to Changi if we have enough cars? I will be driving... not sure who else...
Or you guys prefer to cut straight to changi? or even venture to Ubin from there later on from there?
My vote is to start around Changi Village. The earlier the better. We can have lunch at Changi Hawker Centre and venture to Pulau Ubin for the more adventurous ones.

:thumbsup::thumbsup: for u Redshutter and ZoomP.
ZoomP and I so happened to chat about the kampung, I related my experience to him with this place.
I once explored this kampung with 2 other friends a few years ago on a weekend. No doubt this small and barely-touched community is really beautiful. There is a little area (which serves as a common area) with kampung houses on both sides of it. When I walked into this common area, which u cant avoid if you want to see the front of these houses, some residents shy away and walked back into their houses. We knew right away we would be wrong if we even lifted up our cameras to capture anything. I am sure I would not want anybody to shoot me in my boxer..
Maybe shooting the outside or surrounding areas are still fine, I believe some users here ever mentioned being respectful to the surrounding and the owners, it may be a public place, but to me it is quite a personal space, u will know what i mean once u are there.
Its just my thought, I may have over reacted.
Then again does anyone know if this place has changed much since?
Good luck & enjoy your outings, cheers!
Ya they probably already receive a lot of attention since the media published the story about them being the last kampong of singapore...
personally I have never been to that place... and it would be a pity if we do not have the chance to at least visit it once before it is gone forever... :bheart:
I think to preven unnecessary time wastage of going over there and has to change location... let's all meet at Changi instead at 1.30pm Saturday 26 June.
As for the Kampong, maybe we ourselves can head over there own time own target, instead of going there as a group?
Any opinions?
can a newbie join? HAHA~
Weather forecast for tomorrow is "Late morning and early afternoon showers with thunder". Or-gui-ni-zer, any wet weather plans?
Derrick,
Are you suggesting we go Changi then head on to Ubin? Personally, I think it's fine that we go as a group. Perhaps, we should identify ourselves as RFSG and just wanting to capture the old Singapore on films. I think the residents may be receptive to the idea. Using old stuffs shooting old location.
In addition, this Kampong has appeared on numerous publishcations and websites. The residents may already be very familar with "tourists" visiting the area. Let's ensure we go there and maybe break into at smaller groups to shoot different parts of the place. A RF is probably less intrusive too compare to DSLR?
What do you guys think?
We can always move on to Changi Village to unwind n check out each others' poisons.
