RF.SG March Outing - Malacca Encore

ok I've checked with a couple of agencies & the bus option will definitely have to be an overnight trip..

bus departs at 7.30am frm sg, and 1-2pm from malacca.. it's an estimated 4 hr ride.
return bus trip is roughly $50+ to $60, no super luxurious doubledeck with personal tv option.. those are for longer haul destinations.

Package deal including 1 night stay at hotel equatorial is roughly $120/person..

guess if there are not enough cars, those who are keen to stay over can take this option, and those who can't can topang the car(s) back at the end of the day..

guys, can we have a quick show of hands what's your preference?

If my leave application goes through, I might be able to join you guys. But I need to get back on Sunday morning for my son's swimming lesson, hence, will only be able to join you guys for a day trip.

Astroboy888, Jon, do let us know if your wifey doesnt need the car on that day & if you are comfortable to offer a ride.

If it is 2 cars at the moment, we are pretty much on the correct ratio with 2 drivers 7 passengers with space for 1 more.

I'm opting for a day trip on this one. As earlier brought up, most of our dear volunteer drivers are daddys, dont want them to miss out Sunday with their kids & wife.

I would say tentively, stick to driving there by car, hopefully we have enough drivers. Make it a single day trip. Return to SIN after dinner like previously. I remembered the last trip, return point was at Jurong East MRT, still managed to catch the 2330hours train home.

For those who want to stay overnight. I think you would have to sort your hotels/transport back within the group who wants to stay overnight.

PS: for those who listed your name down. Please dont last min fly A380 ya? Space is constrain to the number of kind souls who volunteer their cars.

Guys, let's show our Brad Pitt some support!!! I am sure we can find more cars and drivers for the trip. The cost will of couse be split among those in your vehicle.

I would say the last Melaka trip was the best monthly minis I had organised. Lots of photos to take and good food. The company's great during the drive and at location. Since most of us will likely be coming back within the day, having our own vehicles makes the most sense as we can control our timing easily.
