First of all, I'd like to congratulate RFSG and its EXCO for organizing the event tomorrow along with the book launch. I'm glad that all the hopes and dreams of the RF users here in Clubsnap have come to fruition.

I'm not a RFSG member, but may I permit myself to raise a couple of points.

I hope the EXCO have engaged a photographer as well as a videographer (from within the RFSG community, or otherwise) to cover such an important occasion. No need for artistic, PJ stuff... just full-on honest and good event coverage. This is SOP for wedding couples, so why shouldnt RFSG do likewise?

I think RFSG should also appoint a member as its official HISTORIAN - someone who will painstakingly archive anything and everything RFSG. We should not overlook the possibility that the annals of RFSG might be of significant value to future generations.

Just as our camera gear might outlive us, RFSG could also have the potential to grow and live beyond our mortal lives.

Please ignore my humble suggestions, if such matters have already been catered for.

Again, congrats and all the best, RFSG!

Great suggestions!!! I believe we will have enough cameras tom nite to capture the decisive moments of RFSG. All the committee members will be wearing a RF camera around their necks.

As for Historian, that's another great idea.

Dear All, the RF.SG event is finally here!!! After months of discussions and painstaking work behind the scenes, only one more day to go :)

On behalf on the committee, I would like to extend our invitation to you and your friends again. Your presence is the best support for all those who have put in effort.

Tomorrow's event is casual, so do not worry about being alone or having no one to talk to... We will have friendly ambassadors whom you can approach, or he will approach you ;)

Drinks and finger food will be served.. but there will be limited seating.. so if you wanna grab a chair, come down early.. but do give your seat to those who need it more (just in like the MRT)

You will find people from all walks of lives, sharing with you their experiences and such.. You will learn and in-turn share with the others as you mingle.. You will make new friends!

100 pictures have been selected, from a very encouraging number of entries, for an inaugural RF.SG Photobook and you will be able to see them on display tomorrow.

2.5 hours from 6.30pm - 9pm is not that long.. but we certainly hope that at the end of the night, new friendships will be fostered and you will be inspired to include photography as part of your everyday life.

Cheers,

On Behalf

PS: Hi gossipmonger, there will be no "members" tomorrow and everyone is welcome. We appreciate your suggestion will seriously consider the possibility of an annal. Thankfully, we have had spontaneous volunteers who will be covering the event. Hope to see you there tomorrow~

A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came down. Your presence made the event :)

Another THANK YOU to all the speakers, Daryl, Kevin, Vincent, Gary and CK for taking the time to piece something together and sharing your experiences selflessly.

We also wanna thank Spoon Creative, who pieced together the Photobook. Clubsnap and Singapore Arts Museum for the space and arrangements. Schmidt Marketing for the sponsorship and the showcase of your products. Individuals who had sacrificed their time and effort to put everything together.

I hope that everyone had fun, learnt something, made new friends or caught up with people you have been talking to online. Apologies for the limited seating (we had to cater standing room) and limited finger food and drinks... the turnout was much more than we had expected :D
