currently i am using e lowepro terraclime 50....fit e camera nicely......but will suggest a bigger bag so that it can store other personal stuff too...more convenient..
Hi all,
Newbie to photography and i just purchased the Silver Nex 5...
I am looking for a camera bag (Sling), any recommendation on the brand to get? Thanks!
I think I am one of the 1st batch to buy this camera. Share you my experience.
I am using A mode 90%, because the iAuto tends to over expose +0.3EV. So I always keep my A mode with -0.3ev (using multi-exposure metering).
To change the Exposure compensation is only one button pressed.
I use Flexible focus mode and turn off the "shooting help". So the Help button is replace by focus point button. Also one button to access focus point setting.
The only trouble I found is to change the ISO. If use auto, I think (not confirm) it allows from iso200 to iso800 only, which is not sensitive enough indoor. So I need to set iso1600 or higher by going into Menu->Brightness->ISO->(choose ISO). This is the long sequence which I think Sony should improve.
I am happy if they allow us to configure highest usable auto ISO in setup. Coz I definitely will set to ISO6400 and it solves all problem. :bsmilie:
i got terraclime 50 for my nex 5 from CP for 29. They only got black.
actually fits the NEX 5 n both lenses
like it cos i can detach the sling and just use as a pouch to protect my NEX when i put it in a bigger bag
Hi, bro. $29 is quite a good price, which shop did you get it from?
ya i also know to get one. pls advice where to get it.
I cant seem to find the option to turn off the 'shooting tips', wanna use the bottom button for something else more useful as well.
Pls advise
Turn off the help menu in setup, then goto the camera option where you can choose the different focusing points and choose selectable focus point. After you have done so the bottom button changes from shooting tips to 'focus' where every time you press that, you can change your focus point.
Good to use because the shutter button locks focus and exposure together, which is the only really irritating thing about the NEX5, together with how it C-AFs.
I bought the new Sony Nex 5k 3 weeks ago after reading all the favorable reviews on the web. Since then the camera has visited in Sony care twice. First there were dust specks in the lens. Now the camera cannot recognize the lens. It is now back at the service centre and I've beed refused a replacement of the lens by the customer support person. Their standard reply I am getting is that they will attempt to repair even though it is less than 1 month old. This is very poor support for a flagship camera from Sony. I am waiting to collect the camera and waiting to see what will be the next problem.
This will be the last Sony purchase from this customer.
