Isn't 8.30 still too early though? I figured around 12pm should be enough...all the major feeding times start from 1pm...

Also please let me know of a good lenses (18-200mm 50-200mm or something upto 400mm) to rent for the excursion to the zoo.

What system? Nikon, Canon, etc?



Anyway, I bought a cheap 2nd hand telephoto to give this a go, count me in! Might be very slightly late if I decide to go for a quick sunrise shoot in the morning.

There's a sub-forum here that deals with that. I would like to suggest that renting a lens seems a bit... extreme given this is a fairly routine visit to the Zoo.

Then again if you want to evaluate lenses for purchasing it's not a bad idea. I just don't want you to spend extra money on what is a simple trip!

I suggest going in as soon as the zoo opens. Less crowd, and the morning sun means it's not as hot and it also casts a lovely light on the animals.

Very tempted to join you guys in the morning, then go for the evening shoot at Pinnacle@Duxton :think:

Was thinking stay at the zoo till afternoon, then take cab straight to Pinnacle.

Gear wise, still manageable, but will be bringing my 70-200mm so yeah, a bit on the heavy side.

actually the only thing I am interested in is the tiger feeding...that's at 2pm sooo..will be pretty much taking miscellaneous snaps to pass my time until then
