Hey KT, hope you get your stuff back too. Seems that the case for recovering your stuff is good, given that the police can trace the person who took your gear.

Kinda sympathised with your situation too, coz I once lost my wallet there at TM too and wondering whether there is bad karma there. Dropped wallet in cinema theatre once and couldnt recover it even tho i discovered the loss within 5mins. One of the cleaners suspected that some young teens might have found and looted my wallet coz she saw some teens loitering around outside the theatre after the movie was over. I even approached two of them to ask if they found a wallet and they said no awkwardly and they were gone after i came out from the theatre searching for it.....

Lost 11B, driving licence, library cards, bunch of membership cards and $70. Total damage of ard $150(guys know that 11B replacement cost ^%$^$ expensive). Peanuts compared to the value of your gear stolen, but the loss was really felt....

at least i managed to get more info, his cam is much newer 201XXXX :sweat: I phrased it as I was checking out prices

For the past few days, I cannot try not to think about it.
Mixed emotions with ups and downs.
1st day, I was lost and painful.

2nd day after the Punggol Outing, somehow, I feel more painful (although I tell myself to accept the fact that the goods are lost)
Then came news of video and evidence, getting happy and a new hope arise.
When I see the video of the whole scence, I get bloody angry and heat up.

3rd day and onwards, I began think alot. (although I tell myself not to think so much)
Should he deserve a chance.
Should he receive the harsh punishment under Singapre Law.
What is the police status now?
I hope he receive a harsh punishment.
Will the police let him go by giving warning?
What if he sell or throw away my camera?
What should I do next?

Last time, I stay in Hougang too. Plan to have Operation SengKang and Operation Hougang outing in the future. At this moment, I only spot one good site at Hougang.

No, I am not one of the good organiser here.
There are also Azure, Klose, icarus outing too, whom they plan their outing in well manner and logistic planning.
They are capable and will teach you many more things you never knew about shooting.

I have similar experience and share your pain, my stuff was stolen in Shangri-La KL cafe, I was alone having dinner left my stuff at the table going to take my buffet dinner and the stuff gone when I return, the hotel security video offers no help just that it shows the person taking my stuff.

I am still pissed with Shangri-La KL and have never stayed there eversince this incident, my advice to you is not to raise your hope and if you get your stuff back it is good news if not then you will not have the roller-coaster emotions you are feeling now. Sad to read about how it all happened :o .

Don't worry too much KT. If it will come back to you, it will. At the mean time, just do whatever you miss doing besides photography. You'll feel a lot better in one way or the other.
