It depends, I went to check price before and after the guy quote me the price I even asked him best price and he said yes so I just said Thank you and walked out.

After that, I went to Mee Too and without even knowing whether i will buy or not, I was quoted a super attractive price (price difference from foto berlian is RM800+). Did not bring any cash so I said I will go back next week and got the contact number. Went back a week later and same price was given to me. The staffs were very friendly too esp Mr See who served me and told me within 1 year if there's any problems they can help me send to KL for repair FOC.

Anyone has any idea how much nikon vr 70-300mm selling in jb?

For me, it's a no brainer, just go straight to Johan Foto in the 4th floor of Plaza Angsana, don't even need to waste time at other shop seeing other people's black face and bad attitude.

The boss, Anthony is there most of the time. His staffs, Ah Mun and Ah Leong also very friendly. He have a partner, if I did not recall wrongly, name is Helmy or something, also a very nice guy. They allow you to test their stuffs before buying and no black face at all. Most importantly, after you have "warmed up" with them, you can bargain the price with them nicely. Just remember they are running a business, so do not low ball like you do in B&S. Normally if you are sincere, humble customer, you should be able to pull it off.

That said, I may be visiting them over the next few days again....:)

Edit: I hope they can look for a shop lot at somewhere better. Plaza Angsana is not a place you wanna stay long. I suggest if you do go there, you buy and go, don't loiter in that place.

It does gives me the feeling, so I always buy and go. Trust me it is not a place you want to stay long lah, especially if it's your first time there. The most I have done is to buy a chocolate shake in Macdonalds because I need small change to pay carpark fee at the autopay station.

If u want to shop, places like jusco is better.

Thanks for the advice!
Planning to get my d700 there but no stock.

Just be aware of your surrounding la. For me I went to walk the shopping mall n had my meal before going back to sg. But however, when changing currency beware as the money changer is near the exit. That day when I went there to change 3k I was scare. Once I change I didn't even count n just go straight buy n shop. The money changer itself also panic when see so big amount. My advice if confirm buying. Better to change currency in a safer place like custom or best in sg. Rate might be slightly low..

Any stock/price updates for D700?

go to The Arcade(raffles place mrt stn) to change ur $.
lots of money changer there for u to compare the rates.

mee too has another shop managed by the son Sky.
it's near jusco tebrau city and called Mee Too Pro Shop.
it's on the 3rd floor of a shop house.
if u wan cam stuffs, u can go there. very safe as no 'funny' ppl will mark u , unlikely shoppin centre where all tom dicks n henry can c u.....

hi guys just want to ask about the lenses in jb is it cheaper there or in KL. Anybody knows the price of 70-200 mm 2.8 vr 2 ....

i rather go to jusco than plaza angsana and for good reasons.
spendin a bit more is better than gettin mugged.

i'm a malaysian and i'm not promotin jusco for any reasons.
purely bcos it's safer.

if i say the reason, i will b branded a racist.
