So everybody has done "throw the box and use the camera before crossing checkpoint" trick? No problems with the authorities i suppose.
A post up there about the cam looking 'new' kind of made me a bit wary. Was planning to jb soon.

instead of throwing the box. can i fold it and put in a carrier?

U can do anything u like, just don't get caught., what I do is fold the box and just place it inside a giant plastic bag..

Most of the time the custom will just look and say "ok".. Hardly I seen any officers open up the bag and see what's inside

I din even know tt the cam is actually taxable... i just put the whole box in my boot n bring in... the officer din even notice when he open my boot to chk...

go with a friend who is willin to help carry the folded up box and dun walk together when going through the bag scanner.

I notice most of u here bought D7000/D700 body only. Will it still be cheaper than SG if buy with Kit lens?

Lens are cheaper in jb too.. So if u buy kit set its still cheaper

I know Nikon is cheaper as I'm a nikon user. Canon maybe will have to wait for others to reply..
