This is my take on printing at home using inkjets:
I shoot in film often using my EOS 888, although I own an EOS 300D. Whenever I send my film for developing and printing 3Rs, the prints from the labs (Kodak Express) sometimes turn out to be either too dark or too bright. Some photos turn out awful.
So I scan the negatives and look at them. The shots are actually nicer than what the prints show. Then I just print out using my mediocre Canon MPC200 (3-in-1 printer) and the prints turn out nicer than what those photo labs can give.
Perhaps it requires a bit of luck, or a bit of photoshop for colour correction. But most of the prints from my printer turn out better than lab prints even without photoshop. So I guess the variety of colours the inkjet can offer seem to surpass that which a photolab has. Correct me if I'm wrong. Not sure if anyone had the same experience as me.
OT: Sehsuan, this year Education Officers got PB or not?
