Recommendation for local shop to service Elmarit 21mm

Hello fellow members,

I have a Elmarit 21 ASPH F2.8 that is a little stiff with the focusing ring - probably due to sitting in the dry cabinet for long time. Probably needs some lubrications. Besides the agent, who can you recommend to do a service? And who can, if pssoble, do a day or two turn around?

Honestly, for such an expensive lens, I strongly suggest you go back to Schmidt. Though they are slightly more expensive and take a slightly longer time, you will get your money worth and 100% satisfaction guaranteed.

If it's a 30 or 50 year old lens, then it's safe to send it to other technician for service.

Agreed...this is still a current production modern lens...better to service by Leica and 100% warrant by Leica distributor Schmidt...no fast route...
