Recommendation for backpacking trip to europe?

Pls note that the budget airlines usually fly to London- Luton or London Stanstead, which is a journey away from london, and cost quite a bit on train. Just take note, you can check out the train tickets, just search for it on the net, they have got quite a comprehensive info provided. London is really expensive for budget travellers like me...

Any place in east europe worth visiting ?

Eastern Europe is GREAT!! and not to mention cheap.

you can start in Vienna for the gardens, buildings and food (ex tho) then go to salzburg where the sound of music was filmed.

then move on to Budapest and Prague with the amazing gothic architecture.. then , world war sites in Poland...
