No stock for DCR-250 till mid Nov but still have few sets left for CM-2000A.

Just to clarify: We have several people asking us what is the difference between CM-2000A and DCR-250. It seems that our information on McGill.com.sg website is still not able to assist them. So we would like to explain in simple terms:

If you like to take big flowers and small objects, then consider the CM-2000A, which has DCR-150, DCR-250 and an adapter ring. Or if you are a beginner and feel that the DCR-250 (+8 diopter) might be a bit too high in magnification for your DSLR lenses or digital camera, then get the CM-2000A instead as you are able to use the DCR-150 (+4.8 diopter) for a start.

If you also like to take magnified parts of small insects or objects, you can stack the DCR-150 and DCR-250 with the adapter ring found in the CM-2000A package. Just note that by stacking the 2 lenses, the optimum focusing distance will be reduced to around 4-5cm.

CM-2000A is bestseller for DSLR users who own more than 1 lens as it gives them different combinations of magnifications when attached to different DSLR lenses. It also transforms the common 50mm prime lens into a unique macro lens when both DCR-150 and DCR-250 are stacked to it. So it is actually much more affordable than DCR-250 as you get 3 levels of magnification at over $200 compared to 1 level of magnification for DCR-250 at $120 only.

If you just want to shoot for fun or not going to shoot bigger objects like flowers, just get the DCR-250 then.

We only offer step rings together with purchase of any lens.

DCR-150 is $120. No stock. Have to place special order.

I suggest you get the CM-2000A instead as there is a DCR-150 inside. In stock.

It is suitable for big lenses with 72mm diameter or more. However it is strongly recommended to be used with a tripod.

Yes, DCR-250 can be mounted to the FZ20 with the help of a tube adapter available from us. Works with most Canon DSLR lenses too. It does not matter what your camera body is, eg.7D. Both items are out of stock at the moment but the CM-2000A is still available in very limited quantity:
