Hi cmeptb72,

This depends on the lens focal length. DCR-250 might still be suitable.

IF you are keen to know, better for you to test on the spot. If happy, then just get it straight away.

I'm keen to get the Raynox DCR-250 Super Macro Lens but some article online saying this Raynox will have vignetting with the Tamron 17-50mm lens! Did any of your buyer or member over here tested before? … and, is there any other product you can recommend for the increasing Macro capability for Tamron 17-50mm…. ???

Hi,

Tamron 17-50mm lens has vignetting issue with Raynox macro lenses. Also due to the short focal length, it is not appealing for macro shooting.

There is no suitable Raynox items for this lens.

IT depends on the magnification you would like to have. DCR-250 is suitable with the following lenses:
Sony:
18-70mm 1:3.5-5.6 (no vignetting after 28mm) and other kit lenses; 50mm

You may want to consider the complete macro set instead:

You can try either the DCR-250 or the CM-2000A as below, if you want to convert your 50mm into a special macro lens giving more than 1:1 ratio:
