Hi John,

You can consider the DCR-6600PRO 52mm 0.66x wide angle lens (cannot full zoom), or the HD-7000A 58mm 0.7x wide angle (full zoom) if you don't mind a slightly bigger body. The P6000 adapter is out of stock now but we can order for you.

Please call our Raynox Singapore Hotline 6389-1734 for price details if you are keen.

Hi Jim,

Would the (DCR 250) Macro Lens fit my Nikon D90, 105mm lens? How does this compare with the DCR 5320 pro? What is the difference? Which would you recommend?

Does this mean that with this add on, it will no longer be necessary for me to purchase a separate macro lens.

Also, can i leave it on the lens whilst taking normal photos? (sorry newbie on this).

If so, do you have stock and how much is it?

Hi swiftcode,

DCR-250 can be used with your 105mm lens.

DCR-5320PRO is heavier and has lower magnification compared to DCR-250.

Most of our clients like to keep using their kit lenses even for macro photography, that's why they got the DCR-250 from us. But the trade-off is the focusing distance will be reduced to around 12mm.

You cannot leave it on the lens as it is not suitable to take normal photos. It's like going to the toilet to pee without unzipping your pants.

We still have stock of DCR-250 and price might increase soon due to Japanese Yen shooting like a rocket.

If keen, please call our Raynox Singapore Hotline 6389-1734 to get the item.

Thanks,
Jim, McGill.

Hi,

Your camera body is not important, but the lens you attach to it.

So far, it works well with most kit lenses from Sony.

Please call if keen.

Thanks,
Jim, McGill.

Hi,

It's still possible if you shoot slow-moving, brave or dead insects.

Of course you need to have a pair of steady hands too.

Try to use a digital camera instead of DSLR setup if you have problem. Actually for macro, as it is much easier and better to use a prosumer with more than 10x optical zoom as you can shoot quite a distance away from the object.

Any questions please feel free to call our Raynox Hotline 6389-1734.

Thanks,
Jim, McGill.

I think that might be 12cm, not mm?
I bought the DCR 250 from Jim last week, the distance from the end of my kit lens (105mm) to the subject is around 12cm, depending on where your focus ring is at.

Yes,

It should be 12cm, not 12mm.

Thanks Troy for pointing out the typo!

By the way, we still have a few sample pieces of DCR-250 left. These are old stock, only used once or twice and returned by customers due to minor defects such as tiny black dot, some imperfect surface - seems scratched but not so, etc.

The optical performance of such samples are NOT affected in anyway.

Price is at an unbelievable $76nett COD only, whilst stocks last!!! NOTE: NOT BRAND NEW.

IF keen, please contact our Raynox Singapore hotline 6389-1734 to arrange collection time!

Cheers,
Jim, McGill.

Hi a noob question. I just heard of Raynox last night from others :P

May I ask if it can be used with my Canon 24-105 L lens? or how abt adding it to Canon 100mm Macro? What would the effect be?

Cheers! and pardon me if it's a stupid question.

Yes, it can be used with your 24-105mm lens but you need to get a stepdown ring since the filter size is pretty huge at 77mm. However it is not a practical lens to be used for macro as it's bulky.

100mm macro lens is popularly used with the DCR-250! Effect is higher magnification. For details, please refer to link below:

Consider using digital cameras with high optical zoom in combination with our Raynox macro lenses. To the skilled user, there is no obvious difference in image quality between this setup and a more expensive DSLR camera with a macro lens. But you get a lighter and more versatile setup, which is a BIG advantage especially during field trips!

Cheers,
Jim, McGill.
