No surprises given what Cosina has done to the 15mm. But I'm surprise this 'update' is in the market at this time of the year instead of Q2 or Q3....

Minimum focus distance is now 0.5m instead of the previous 0.3m. Takes 67mm filter. Bye bye to the 77mm filter adapter.

Check out the 'matching' finder which is now sold separately.

Lens available from Mar 2010 in Japan.

Cheers,

Somehow Benny's brain is wired directly to the Cosina's office in Shinjuku...

I see that there is a flower petal like "hood" on the lens. Any idea if its removable ?

I often thought it was wired to Canon.... I'm sure he has shares in the company.

Ha Ha! If only that is true. No money to buy Canon shares. All spent on gear. And by the way, besides Canon gear, I use and own other gear too. Seems to have picked up the 'Canon guy' tag for some strange reason.

Just overheard the salesman talking about it in Shinjuku 2 weeks ago, hence was looking out for it. :bsmilie:

I think its going to be interesting how it can be used in the stuff i take. Hope its level of distortion is well controlled
