I just bought a 50L Digi-Cabi from Carefour. Anybody know what RH% is best to set it at? I have just cranked it up to MAX and the humidity now sits around 30%. Is there such thing as "too dry" or does it not matter? Cheers.

Best at 45% to 55% range. Too dry will damage the rubber stuffs and dry up the grease in the motor and gear of the equipments.

hello fellows
i need advise
i got my 30L about 2 weeks ago. it was doinig fine for the start of the first week. maintening at 44% RH. howwver, one day, it went haywired and went to 53% RH. i tried adjusting it back to 44% RH. it dropped to 37% RH. alright so obviously i increased it. so It went up to 47% RH, settle for a few hours, it goes back to 53% RH (at a lower setting, the knob) i'm FUMING! there is something wrong right?

Did you add something like paper into the cabinet on the day is went nut? If yes, it will take a while for the paper to "dry" up and return to the old reading. Don't worry about the reading going up when you open the cabi door, it will take some hours before it return back to the old reading.

Normally, I turn the knob to 9~10 o'clock position to achieve 45%RH for a AD-100 loaded with a lot of camera stuff. Usually after an outing, when putting back the cooled equipments, I will turn the knob to 1~2 o'clock position to speed up the drying process and then turn back to 9~10 o'clock position when it RH drop below 50%.

Cool, thanks for the help! Moved it to the 11 o'clock position and the humidity now hovers around 45%. :)

Placed an order with Digihub yesterday & today they delivered a DHC 60L.
They even wanted to deliver yesterday itself but I was'nt at home.
That's fast service!

I just bought a AD50. I set it to max clockwise 4pm and left it for 12hrs and the RH is only 45%. I placed a portable hygrometer nearby and it reads 35%.
It seems people set it to 10-11 oclk and are able to achieve 45%.. why is this so?

Should I call them and do a replacement? Wonder where the fault is? The dehumidifier or the built in hygrometer

Think should call them to let them know wat's happening and see wat they say. Doesn't sound right.

Hi sorry bros, what am I doing wrongly?

I just got my DB-036 2 days ago. I set to the green zone (about 10 o'clock), and after a few hours, the RH reading shows about 30% in an air-conditioned room. So I turn it to about 12 o'clock, then the reading shoots up to 60% after a few hours.

Morning I check, it drops to about 30%?

I tweak it to the right a little, I come back home from work I see it at about 40%?

:( How to get in between 45-55? :(

What's the sweet spot? I don't like to play "chasing games"... T_T

Thanks bros :)

So now its at 40%? Just leave it :)

It need few hours to get the stable RH after you adjust the knob, also depend on the weather it will change a bit. Put your gear inside and test. With and without gear it gives different reading.

Try to put in between green and blue then wait for 1 day and see how much the humidity drop then adjust bit by bit accordingly. A little bit of adjustment will make the humidity change alot. So be careful not to adjust too much.

Yea... try not to change too many things at a go and let it stabilise. If it still fluctuates like the stock market... then no choice but to send it for repair

I just got the AD-050 from Alan Photo.
set the knob to the 5-o'clock position and humidity is stable at 35%..

Is it too low?
