It can be use for portrait, be it close up or a distance of 1 m away.
It would also be a good lens for father who like to take photo of their kids in fish eye shot, the result will be very nice.

Also good for Landscape at high level.
Or in situation where you want to capture the whole 180 degree angle in a limit space.

Agreed. When used creatively, it can deliver very interesting images distorting the way we perceive the world around us.
