Tekong gives me the creeps. Was having Ex there once, everyone had the same nightmare that night. So coincidental

my ict is at Tekong every yr...going there aggain in 2 weeks' time...

out of the tri-services, army seems to have the most ghost stories..i'm in the airforce but so far haven't heard any...except for the training area behind amoy quee(?) camp...been there a couple of times for training but didn't find it eerie at all..except for my PC's snoring which could be heard from quite a distance away...

airforce, navy any stories to share? navy would be quite interesting wouldn't it? if there were some encounters while sailing...maybe seeing a ghost ship or something in the water

MS B ? i was from 6/9 SADA, previously at Amoy Quee.. Now the unit shift to Chong Pang Camp.. hated the back (where 6/9 SADA was) of the AQ camp especially during 7 month... even my unit's pet dog will not walk in the dark.. the dog will walk the boundary of where the light ends.. but if a unit staff has to walk into the darkness, the dog will follow us ... other than that ... never had any funny occurence, though some of my reservist said that our unit was haunted as lights were always on at wrong times of the night, especially when there were nobody staying in.. but personally i have never come across that..

btw, when u guys mention SISPEC... u mean the one in Tekong right, not at Pasir Labar..... I was 12 or 13 BSLC OOC.. dont remember which because i was stuck in SISPEC for 4 months... just prior to the tekong shift...

so far been around sada hill at 2-3am with partner, but never seen anything. the scariest things there are dogs and snakes.;p

Hahaha. Totally agree with the spiders.
Was recce in the early 90's and the thing that spook us out most over there is not ghost, wild boar or mosquitoes, it's the spiders. Once we had this checkpoint on the other side of this big bunch of bushes. Estimated only 15 to 20 meters on the other side and we can here the guys manning that checkpoint clearly. But we could not get over to it. This bunch of bushes is totally covered by thousands of those palm sized, "red, green, yellow or golden" spiders and their webs. Actually we had 2 teams there. All of us were like staring at this spider kingdom and were like asking each other "Don't tell me we have to bash through this thing" Luckily, in the end we make a detour of almost a hundred meters to get to the other side of the bushes. Night navigation is the worst. We really bashed right into spiderwebs with the giant spiders right over our faces. Thinking of the feeling of huge spiders crawling over the face still gives me creeps.

Oh, Hi to the recce guys around here. Sorry for the late greetings as just spotted this thread after dinner.

are they poisonous??

i remembered in dec 05, i sent my cousin to tekong . it was during one of the tours of going through the bunks, i felt weird.

this strange feeling. i wondered around that bunk and this sergeant and WO came to me and ask if i needed anything (cause there were some other people's belongings still there) and i asked them questions.

i asked the WO is there something wrong with the room , cause unlike other rooms, i told him it just feels weird in that bunk. he just kept quiet and said, " lets not talk about it ok ? come on, hurry up or you'll miss the tour"

i told my cousin bout it and told him to watch his back .

6 months later, i enlisted as a PES E rec, direct unit as a clerk. and ording in 5 months . woohoo..

my cousin had a fare share of stories. true to my words, strange things did occur. he said one of the nights, when he and his bunkmates didnt wanna book out, they were talking on their beds , lying down when suddenly, there was this old grandmother and little boy(NOT GIRL) he was bouncing this ball and it rolled into the bunk, stopping directly, and abruptly in the middle of the bunk ( 6 of them inside , so 3- 3 , ) the boy went in, and looked around , and said " Nek, abang abang ni semua belum tidur!" (translated : grandma, these brothers still not asleep) her reply was "Mungkin dioranag nak beli nasi lemak ( translated maybe they might wanna buy nasi lemak.

she smiled an eerie smile. all covered their heads. within 1 second, the first guy kena .. "cu nak beli nasi lemak? (translated : grandchild, you wanna buy nasi lemak?) directly at his ear, whispering ..

he just shrugged it and said no no .. happened to all of them. my cousin's turn, he punched towards the direction, and to his horror , went through her .

then as quickly as it came, they disappeared. no one spoke of it .

2nd incident, my cousin was doing petrol with his buddy, now tekong got Video Cameras lah.. at the petrol point where they suppose to report in, my cousin was 5m infront of his buddy. suddenly he flew and hit his buddy, knocked out unconscious, specs broken. buddy radioed in and 3 vehicles were despatched. he woke up at med centre, telling his CO that he saw something fly to him and hte next thing he knew he was pushed . the Encik replayed the video, saw something zoom past him and he was flying to his buddy . they took the tape, sealed it and put inside a locker, according to my cousin, inside that locker was a case file of the missing soldier and other weird incidents tat happened in tekong.

encik told him to hush about it.

another incident was another cousin. he was in tekong, part of his OCS , then something went wrong . i didnt know the full details but what i did know was his brother, my other cousin , brought a bomoh to tekong and got him healed. he was then transfered to Police as a SI , equivielnt to 2lt i thjink.

i asked him what happened, he just couldn't remembere anything , asked his brother, he just smiled and looked away.

heard rumours that old Camp 1 was sitting on the grounds of a village; when the Japs attacked Singapore in 1942, the whole village was killed on the spot.

can i just double check...the old charlie camp is the one that is turn right and up a small slope after the RPL landing rite?

last time RPL landing after the ramp will be the medical center on the left or something..

Anywayz
my own personal account was that during Patrol Field Camp, We'd a reccee mission that required to go past that. My instructor then advised us to go thru that camp, the SOC grounds, and see if we could go past the fence to head to the beach.....it was crappy.

coz just across the fence, were so much vegetation that my cadet buddy L** ** B** got stuck...but anywayz, it wasn't the smartest idea......

well, the SOC grounds were really empty then cept for two poor sods who had to do prowling

At that time, i didn't know what was so special about that building....

but later on when we went thru Foxtrot avenue (which required to go thru some stream and some wet mushy/muddy soil with thick vegetation) we were told by our instructors to hurry up and hush up.... (at that point of time, we though it was some supposedly "opposing platoon" during the PFC missions). also dunno y, but the recee site was so far away. ANyway, I distinctly remembered using the same route back after reccee mission, that was almost 4am and as usual due to the thick vegetation, was too dark, and the Instructor didn't allow us to any form of lights (even in tact mode), so we just relied on whatever little light from the moon and a pathetically few fireflies that 2 of us caught while lying near the watery soil. Soon after about 1/2 hour negotiating the start of Foxtrot avenue, we started to have to go past waterbodies and sand mounds with palms growing consistently. we thought we wandered off course, but the sign was stuck there "F" for Foxtrot. anywayz we labored over the returning with of course our instructors giving us a thorough berating on us going off course...

finally when we reached the tarmac road (which the landrover always use) we redid a point reading to determine if we strayed. We didn't, it was the same route including the earth beaten path that we used earlier on at about 1am or so.

anyhow, we were too tired to think of what went wrong as we continued to prepare for the next mission briefing.....

when we moved out for our next mission, we went thru "F" avenue again, and true enuf, it was the same old beaten path, with no undulating mud mounds like what was experienced earlier.

Anyway, somebody managed to ask around lateron after that whole PFC week and i dunno whether to say it was just strange, but well when we came back from the recee mission, we were actually trodding on some old cemetary....dunno whether true anot, but that was what the mud mounds were. when we checked our maps, the cemetary is ALL THE WAY OFF, not even anywhere near F avenue. in fact next to F avenue was just thick vegetation without much slope.....which is consistent with the F avenue terrain.

well, when we're so deadbeat after the 1 week of PFC without sleep, even if it was some evil ghost, we were just too tired to bother.
