Tekong gives me the creeps. Was having Ex there once, everyone had the same nightmare that night. So coincidental

I slept well when I was there... only pick durians

But heard that my mates had problem sleeping.

think different people different experiences.

some may see "them", some don't at all in their whole lives. It's too easy to dismiss "them" as figment of imagination, ask those who have seen/hear/felt "them" before. As they say... you only believe what you experienced. For those who been to tekong and nothing bad happened...actually good for them. Those with stories usually have nice ice breaking ns stories....kekekekeke :bsmilie:

For me, i have seen and heard "them", but not on Tekong. Only been there once. There's simply so much more things/history about Singapore, we have yet to comprehend. :sweatsm:

i was from the new BMTC on tekong.. we once had field camp on top of one of the 'hills'.. close to midnight, there was a heavy downpour and we were rushed down the 'hill' to one of the old camps.. camp 1 or 3, cant remember.. once at the bottom, we were directed to the old medical center to wait out the rain... imagine a whole company inside the dark old medical center trying to sleep.. about 2 hours later.. the PC,OC and encik woke everyone up and shifted all of us outside the medical center to under some verandah located away from the medical center... where we slept till 5am plus..

though i did not bother at that time as i was tired.. i recall someone mentioning some days later that someone else detected the scent of frangi pani.. to be safe, they moved us out into the open rather than in the dark medical center.. that night, we were told to go toilet or anywhere in minimum number of 2 recruits

... it is Camp 3, the medical centre is near the guard house ? scent of frani pani ? oh.. lady ghost.

redstone, ur pm full. hahaha

u guys saw the parade square at Camp 1 ?

i had an CSM who told us that he witnessed a " NDP style " parade of Imperial Japanese Soldiers one night when he was the Guard Commander, the next day this CSM took MC for 3 days.
my friend said he saw coffin lined up in the parade square when it rains at selarang barrack changi !

actually tekong is quite crowded.. u have to try quite hard not to bump into or get mixed up with other units during exercises in the training areas.

there was once i was walking along salabin highway from the jetty to the (i forgot the name) rubber plantation at night, there were people almost every 100m!

i never had problems there, except for the tekong cough. lol..

that's the actual name for that "highway" ? haha...never knew! Always hear people coined it "Tekong Highway"...didnt know the real name! :bsmilie:

i remembered in dec 05, i sent my cousin to tekong . it was during one of the tours of going through the bunks, i felt weird.

this strange feeling. i wondered around that bunk and this sergeant and WO came to me and ask if i needed anything (cause there were some other people's belongings still there) and i asked them questions.

i asked the WO is there something wrong with the room , cause unlike other rooms, i told him it just feels weird in that bunk. he just kept quiet and said, " lets not talk about it ok ? come on, hurry up or you'll miss the tour"

i told my cousin bout it and told him to watch his back .

6 months later, i enlisted as a PES E rec, direct unit as a clerk. and ording in 5 months . woohoo..

my cousin had a fare share of stories. true to my words, strange things did occur. he said one of the nights, when he and his bunkmates didnt wanna book out, they were talking on their beds , lying down when suddenly, there was this old grandmother and little boy(NOT GIRL) he was bouncing this ball and it rolled into the bunk, stopping directly, and abruptly in the middle of the bunk ( 6 of them inside , so 3- 3 , ) the boy went in, and looked around , and said " Nek, abang abang ni semua belum tidur!" (translated : grandma, these brothers still not asleep) her reply was "Mungkin dioranag nak beli nasi lemak ( translated maybe they might wanna buy nasi lemak.

she smiled an eerie smile. all covered their heads. within 1 second, the first guy kena .. "cu nak beli nasi lemak? (translated : grandchild, you wanna buy nasi lemak?) directly at his ear, whispering ..

he just shrugged it and said no no .. happened to all of them. my cousin's turn, he punched towards the direction, and to his horror , went through her .

then as quickly as it came, they disappeared. no one spoke of it .

2nd incident, my cousin was doing petrol with his buddy, now tekong got Video Cameras lah.. at the petrol point where they suppose to report in, my cousin was 5m infront of his buddy. suddenly he flew and hit his buddy, knocked out unconscious, specs broken. buddy radioed in and 3 vehicles were despatched. he woke up at med centre, telling his CO that he saw something fly to him and hte next thing he knew he was pushed . the Encik replayed the video, saw something zoom past him and he was flying to his buddy . they took the tape, sealed it and put inside a locker, according to my cousin, inside that locker was a case file of the missing soldier and other weird incidents tat happened in tekong.

encik told him to hush about it.

another incident was another cousin. he was in tekong, part of his OCS , then something went wrong . i didnt know the full details but what i did know was his brother, my other cousin , brought a bomoh to tekong and got him healed. he was then transfered to Police as a SI , equivielnt to 2lt i thjink.

i asked him what happened, he just couldn't remembere anything , asked his brother, he just smiled and looked away.

Old woman and kid appeared in bright room?

They can actually adzan. Hopefully my spelling correct.

when was the 2nd incident?

as per vid surveilance of key installations etc, its time lapsed, not real time. so it would be really interesting if they managed to catch that. or perhaps have they changed it to realtime now? :P

wah...this confirm interesting to everybody who did ns. :bsmilie:

i remember when i was in sispec as a trainee, the medic who was teaching us first aid told us about his experience when doing guard duty at the tekong ammo dump. i've never been there, so i'm not sure if this is true, but he said there's a video camera there and when they were drawing arms, they heard someone knocking on the door..when they looked at the cctv, they saw a woman staring directly into the camera. no one did prowling that night

some other stories too...from my bmt pc... there was one night a trainee fell sick during the 7 day field camp, they had to drive him back to company line...i think the driver hor lan on the way back...along the route while they were trying to find their way back, this figure wrapped in linen cloth jumped right in front of them then jumped off the dirt track into the bushes... probably a kok and bull story that, cos he's quite a drama mama...LTA Chong from mohawk coy, platoon 3 PC.. i was his last batch..enlisted june 2006..anyone knows him? the guy who goes..."you're alll houseflies..MAGGOTS!!" then would gesticulate with his left hand, maciam squeezing someone's balls

heard recently in mohawk coy this year, someone from one of the neighbouring coys saw someone standing on the roof at night...they called the guard comm and whoever was on duty...got everyone to fall in but couldn't find anyone missing when they did a head count... after that night, the specs had to take turns to sleep on the roof

I remembered of another case when i was still a trainee in SISPEC too. We were doing one of our night navigation exercise i guess those who had been in SISPEC know it, the one we paired up with our buddy and move in pair or threes in search of checkpoint.

We had just found our very last checkpoint, i still remember the name "Tree" , which was located on the right side of the dirt track near a training shed when you walk back to sispec camp. Then it was about 9-10pm ard there when the incident occur. As we had completed our exercise, believed to be ahead of many groups, we were walking back at a slow and relaxing pace then suddenly I saw a figure in white standing in the woods. Initially i tot that it was due to my specs. But then when i removed it cleaned it and wear it, IT WAS STILL THERE, STARING RIGHT AT US!!!

However luckily a rover drove by and when we turned back its gone. After that, we move at "double double speed" back to our camp.

this one not really a ghost story but it is a little eerie...while i was doing the navex (exercise catwalk i think), i remember leading my section through mandai forest (really hate that place) when we came across this tree that was ridiculously warped... the scary thing is the image that we saw on the tree trunk...you know how we have that monkey god tree? yeah well, instead we saw the visage of a scowling old man... think corrupted treant/treeman from some fantasy world...right after we walked past it, my buddy got stuck in a quagmire...spent a good solid hour or two trying to find our way out...then we literally saw the light...we followed it out of the dark forest and found ourselves standing infront of the golf course with a couple of people tee-ing off...what a contrast man

back in tekong..the only "ghostly" encounter i had was what i believed to be a spectral ass pinch...my coy was having some night activities at the coy line...i went up to my bunk to get something from my sbo. because it was under the bed, i had to bend over and that was when i felt a distinct pinch to my ass..like could feel the flesh being squeezed...thought it was one of my bunk mates being cheeky, so i turned around, about to give the bugger a kick to the crotch when i saw that there was no one in the room at all..just me...quickly got out after that

out of the tri-services, army seems to have the most ghost stories..i'm in the airforce but so far haven't heard any...except for the training area behind amoy quee(?) camp...been there a couple of times for training but didn't find it eerie at all..except for my PC's snoring which could be heard from quite a distance away...

airforce, navy any stories to share? navy would be quite interesting wouldn't it? if there were some encounters while sailing...maybe seeing a ghost ship or something in the water

i think the scariest thing abt tekong is not the ghosts... its the spiders!!! EEEEEEEW

Hahaha. Totally agree with the spiders.
Was recce in the early 90's and the thing that spook us out most over there is not ghost, wild boar or mosquitoes, it's the spiders. Once we had this checkpoint on the other side of this big bunch of bushes. Estimated only 15 to 20 meters on the other side and we can here the guys manning that checkpoint clearly. But we could not get over to it. This bunch of bushes is totally covered by thousands of those palm sized, "red, green, yellow or golden" spiders and their webs. Actually we had 2 teams there. All of us were like staring at this spider kingdom and were like asking each other "Don't tell me we have to bash through this thing" Luckily, in the end we make a detour of almost a hundred meters to get to the other side of the bushes. Night navigation is the worst. We really bashed right into spiderwebs with the giant spiders right over our faces. Thinking of the feeling of huge spiders crawling over the face still gives me creeps.

Oh, Hi to the recce guys around here. Sorry for the late greetings as just spotted this thread after dinner.
