something abt the orang minyak..

i grew up in a punggol kampung n haf heard of tis folklore since very young.

we haf to draw water from wells back then n i remember the first time water tap is installed into my house and every early morning, the tap will gush out yellow water. song. :thumbsup:




anyway, orang minyak, or the greasy man, is a malay folklore abt some unclean spirits baked in thick oil.

orang minyak has another meaning to it.

it could be a thief or a sex offender, who baked himself in thick oil so as to make escape from captors much easier. they are harder to hold onto as they are oily n slippery.

i only realised that the officers n sgts had EXTRA long blindfold. :bsmilie:


as for us, the men, we were much more fortunate. still remember one of my psycho PC being made to do endless counts of jumping jacks with jerry-can n i m filled with glee. hahahaha
