What a joke. What kick can one get of this?

Put a bunch of irresponsible kids on the internet and this is what you get.

Have been following this thread for an hour or so (My longest one post reading in CS so far :bsmilie: )

He makes everything seem so simple, just a simple one post apology and all is settled? If he posted this apology a few days sooner, then maybe the apology will be accepted. But now? after all this repeated logging in, ignoring, photo deleting, persisting that the pictures were taken by himself, and the lists went on.... I don't think those angry folks will so easily forgive him.

I don't think this has got anything to do with the class of school you come from. Being from any Raffles related campus doesn't give you any special entitlement to magnanimity.

It just goes on to give me the impression that since he's from a better school he deserves better treatment and can just get away with just about anything he's done. So much for being a Rafflesian. Is that what they teach there? :dunno:

Used to be from an 'elite' secondary school too. In the workforce, I have also experienced the heightened pressure from past and current part time employers. Any mistake you do is leveled more severely against you just because you are from 'so and so' sch.

roti_prata, though his actions are to be severely condoned, is suffering a similar backlash perhaps to such human reactions.

So what have I learnt during my work experiences which he can apply here?

I don't think its far-fetched. It's not as if 'm implying all kids are irresponsible. Irresponsible is a general term. Being tardy can be irresponsible, malingering can be irresponsible. Point is what he did was irresponsible, that's it.

You can't use students to determine if a school is 'good' or 'bad'.
