Sony took a different approach this Sitex 2012. They dont have a booth for digital imaging (alpha and cybershot); instead they offer GST absorb plus good freebies during the week for Sony Store + (other distributors e.g. MSColor?)

Not sure if other shops originally selling at street price offers additional 7% discount for this week + the same freebies and PWP.

They quoted me $3499 this morning after they advertised the GST promo.

I had an offer from slrr for 3320, with 16gb high speed sd card from sony and herringbone bag

1 sad thing though, the newer models (NEX6/5R,A99) is currently OOS in most Sony Stores (I checked Wisma earlier).

Hopefully new stocks will come in before the 1 week GST promotion ends.

I got the free battery but did not get the PWP. The salesman discouraged me from buying. And I thought it is pointless to have 3 batteries.

I was thinking about either the EPL5 or NEX6. Went down to sitex today but amazingly there was NO SONY camera booth. But found a better deal outside Sitex at MSC.

Thanks, but pretty sure this shop (slr) wont. Stand higher chance if I just ask sony themselves, which already tells u what are my chances lol. But anyway, even if they can, they wont cus they will keep it themselves to sell. This is the shop that was didnt gave the sony 16gb class 10 card but some crappy 8gb sdcard..

even 330 images is probably good enough for me, I hope, as it will not be the main cam.

I am hoping the 10-17mm or 12mm zeiess can replace my heavy 14-24mm in the future
