Hey, I've been reading this forum back to back for but I've yet to find the answer I'm looking for.

Question:
How much does printing (not scanning) and developing a 120mm film cost in total? And where? I am a student so my budget is a little bit tight. My 120mm film has been sitting no my table top for weeks :(

Best if it's at east too :D

And is printing or scanning cheaper?

Thanks a bunch! ;)

Maybe you should try calling a few pro labs in Singapore.

normally they cost the same as 35mm.

120mm have to manual feed one by one, therefore more exp ... usually 1 x 4R is about 80 cents i believes.
35mm uncut film can auto feed into the machine, therefore 1 x 4R is around 30 cents ba. ;)

printing from 120 negative is more ex than 35mm film, about double or triple the price of printing from 35mm neg (depend where you send to), bear in mind than depend of what format you are shooting, eg 645, 66 or 67, some image area may be crop on 4R prints.

most people do now is scan the negative into digital files, so they can print it anywhere, do note that scan from 120 negative also more expensive than 35mm, is counted by per frame, not per roll.

Oh I see. Thanks! So I should scan first and print later? Urmm..where is good for scanning then? TripleD or KT? lol

Heh, sorry for asking so much questions!:embrass:

Hi snippetysnip
If you are stay at West zone you may try at our lab. We are located at Blk 154 #01-302 Bukit Batok st 11, for 120mm processing per roll about $4.00 - $5.00 and printing from $0.60-$1.00/pc.

i always go to simon at grace digilab, its like $3 for dev and he charges the same rate as 35mm film. i've printed my last roll there. the best thing is he takes care with your prints.

Ohh, grace is at sunset way yes? How long do they take to develop the film? Hahah it's out of the way for me but I can go there when I go for my dental appointment but it's like every once a month. Lol.

Approximately how much does it cost per roll of film, develop the film and scan it into digital file? I'm interested in going into medium format..

Processing about $3.00 to $5.00/roll, Scanning per frame $0.80 to $2.00. most of the lab provide this service.

wonder if rgb still around?

Hi snippetysnip,
My suggestion u should go for digital photography & then print it into photo paper dun use 120mm film lah...it is more expensive ....I can offer u in digital printing services.jus call me ....... I can provide such services.Do visit my www.....

that is besides the point. we use film for the aesthetics not for the efficiency or cost savings. if your posts are just to advertise services that he is NOT looking for then don't post in the first place.

dun feel offended, this is not advertising,it is for all users to know there is such services in S'pore.

Sorry, but there is a place for this kind of post, and it is in the services/help wanted forum.

Plus, by stating that you have a service, are you not advertising what you are selling?
