Primary lens for your 7D

Personally, I find 18mm on 1.6x crop (on my previous 18-200) not wide enough for my liking, very tempted to get EF-S 10-22 to cover the UWA range.

Yep. Adding the 10-22 or one of the other UWA really add to the setup.

BTW this is my current set up.

For holiday trip, just bring along 10-22 & 24-105.

But I also plan to get some prime lens & 24-70mm.

bought the EF-S 17-55 f/2.8 IS USM in the end as my main walk about lens. Looking to add the 70-200 f/2.8 to my set but gotta see end of year bonus how much first :think:

Hi, just got my 7D on 2nd Oct and had safe keep my 400D and Sigma 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3.

I am fortunate to have a cousin that has four cabinets of Canon gears and managed to try his 24-70mm f2.8L. IQ is very sharp but the setback for me is the weight. Maybe I am used to the weight of 400D. So, on his advise, I went for the 24-105mm f/4L. It was much lighter and personally think that it is a good compromise for the weight, though it is one stop slower.

Like his 70-200 f2.8L but way too heavy for me...

I am now on 10-22 and 24-105....

I went for 24-105L as it suits my usage and range better. Will be getting a EF-S 10-22 to cover the UWA. 70-200 f/4 will have to wait for a while.......

This is what I am having now... 10-22 and 24-105L...

currently 10-22 is super under use as it is a UWA, 24-105L is the main walk ard... I find that 38mm (135 equiv) is nice...

for me, at least 150mm Macro lens shd come before 70-200mm
