Hi, i'm planning to buy A2... but not sure of the prices.. can anyone share how much is A2 now? If not convient to reply u can PM me..thanx..... :)

S$1250. Call MS Color, see if they can help.

But I think it's almost impossible to find it in the shops now. There are some shops in Chinatown region that do carry it, but they won't let go for less than $1.6k. Best Denki at Ngee Ann City does have one at approx $1.4+k.

Saw one at Best Denki, Plaza Singapura. I think it was $1.4+k, but cheaper than A200 at the same place. Dpreview postings have many pple who bought refurbished A2 from camera shops in NY or on ebay.

Hrmm.. So they can order at about that price? Quite interested to get the A2. So far, the only camera under $2k that would handle well for me.

I think the handling of the A2 is EXCELLENT. Almost everything is on the outside (not in the menus, but physically accessible) - best handling for a digital camera ever for me. The ability to change focusing screens was also a very pleasant surprise. Too bad they removed one dial for the A200.

But... I traded that in for a 300D some time back. I think some of the batch that made it to Singapore had sensor problems - lots of 'hot' pixels (like in hundreds) in night shots, even with noise reduction on - the one I had had that (no way I could live with that), and there is a review on Hardwarezone.com.sg that showed the same problem (check out http://www.hardwarezone.com/articles/view.php?cid=15&id=1056 page 10, Night scenes at the bottom - click on the picture to get a bigger one - can't miss the lots of little blue dots in the dark areas). Checked reviews on US websites and they didn't have this problem.

You may want to take a few test shots with the lens cap on or pictures with heavy shadow to check that, but take a really good look because it shows up better with longer exposures.

Good luck.

Yeah, I'll definitely be doing that... Checking exposures etc.. Anyway.. I think they really neutered tha A200 too much once they removed the 2nd dial and used a cheapy EVF.
The EVF-LCD seems to be worse than even the 114,000 pixel EVF-LCD in my previous camera (Panasonic FZ-10). There was no way I could perform a manual focus on the camera.
The removal of the 2nd dial meant changing settings in manual mode placed my fingers and thumbs in awkward positions.
