I guess he must has mislook the photo on the web and the price.. the one he quote is for body only...

is it me or are bargain city's prices getting cheaper and comparable with the reputable shops?
My friend thought it was cheap, bought 1 450D, which the shutter button could not fire consistently. Change for 1, and face kit lens having focusing issue within a month. Pure unlucky? Maybe, but I'll rather stick to reputable shop.

Looking to buy a Canon EOS 50D but need advise if i should:
- buy 50D kitIII with EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
- buy 50D Body then buy lens seperately (18-55 & 70-300)
Got quote from MS today, 2490 cash for Kit III. Freebies all from Canon. None from them.
Others not open on Sunday. Advise brothers?
Saw some post lens at 10-22 (if i'm correct for macro shots) very nice.
Speedlite580 at 599 for PWP.
Do i need extender with spare batteries? Going overseas travel next month.
If i purchase all together from 1 shop, will it be cheaper?
Whats e advantage for Extreme II memory cards? Is it just Faster?
I have been using Minolta MSLR for 7 yrs but beginer only(basic set) trying to switch to DSLR.

If you have time.. plot a little excel spreadsheet (like i always do) then calculate the best deal yourself.
Sometimes, getting 2 parts from different stores can save you a good hundred bucks.. so maybe you'd like to tell MSC that if they can match the price (and save your trouble of going 2 places), a better deal for them isn't it?
If budget is no issue, get a battery pack since you're travelling.. I don't think you'll be contented with 4-6 hours of photo-takings only. (I need at least 2 spares batt + 10AAs if i'm out on a full day!)
I'd suggest you get a better lens too, the 3 kit lenses provided are nothing amazing.. top up a little more to get something more worthy.
