Has anyone bought 40D recently..what is the price of this set and is it going to be discontinued soon ?

if ur ta;lking abt the 5D mkI, second hand is going quite interestingly cheap at john316
Roughly at $1.3k (7k++ shutter count) and $1.7k (5k+++ shutter count).
i maybe wrong, but it's worth a call/ query to the shop.
sourced out last week.

I believe 888 is for cash payment, before GST. After GST, it's still 950, so it's pretty close to 960.
I, too, initially thought it was too good to be true - 888 cash nett? wah seh, that's 829 before GST!
Wait a bit and see lor. Jap economy not showing any signs of any robust recovery yet, yen continues to weaken, Nikkei in the danger-zone, it's time to play a waiting game. For me, now is not the time to spend yet, perhaps a little later.

Gave a call to John 3:16 but they quoted higher price than this .. :bigeyes:
Do the reputable stores quote higher price on telephonic enquiry...few days back when I asked CP for 430EXII, they quoted $460 but when I went there, they asked for $430 :think:
Anyway..looking for the best place to buy a 40D.
40D for $1350 at john 3:16 with the usual freebies, the $1280 price was just Body, without the freebies. Cash. Yup.

was referred here from a link at thewikideal.. you guys may want to update the list there instead of reposting the whole price list which is making the whole thread very long and messy.. i find forums is best left for discussions and it's more appropriate to use a wiki for price list like this.. it looks more organized and everyone can update the list easily.. it's not something new anyway... lol..
