I'm unfamiliar with getting cameras overseas but if i get one in HK, does this mean only HK warranty?

Yes, only HK warranty. Also be sure to ask if it is Canon/agent warranty or "water" goods which is shop's warranty for a few months. Chung Yuen's is Canon HK warranty

Yes, pls don't ever to "Bally Photo at Funan Centre". The worst con shop I ever visited. Pls go to more reputable shops like CP, MS Color, Parisilk, etc. Over the weekend, I also visited shop in JB. The prices there seem to be slightly cheaper and they carry international warranty as well. Cheers!

the price include GST, and the price of john 3:16 also include GST. i got the price of john before i bought. the 5d body (not markII) is 2400 from john

Try Wing Shing or Man Shing (Same Boss) in Mongkok area. They do provide international warrenty. I got my Canon 50mm f/1.4 with International Warranty from Wing Shing.

Sales guy at Chung Yuen Maritime Square at Tsing Yi (near HK int'l airport) clarified that you can convert their China+HKG+Macau warranty to SG warranty when you contact Canon in SG.

Canon 50D body +4GB + non-Canon spare battery is HK$8,690 paid with Credit Card at Chung Yuen Tsing Yi branch
