hi hi, this is my first post, haha
care to share where u saw the 1650 pricing?
the standard warranty is how many years ar?
I've posted before. Yes, I got mine at $1650 incl GST with Kit Lens (18-105 VR), 4GB CF card, reader and bag. I bought it on the first day of launch. Together with my friends we bought three D90 and one EOS 50D at $1860.
Sorry, since no advertisement here, I do not want to name the shop...you can find it in my previous posts though

It was along orchard road when u come from dhoby ghaut you walk all the way up back to somerset after the food court which have been renovated not long ago when u cross the road you have those electronic shop who sells those game console and camera.

I think it's very good leh. But have to consider that you bought many other stuff lah. Now everywhere selling 1700 average...
No lah, it was not because of the quantity. Rather that it was our sincere feedback to the shop about their bad services... of coz we feedback to them politely. Initially, I just wanted to buy one set...and the manager gave me a good price...so we then decided to buy 3 at the same price of $1650.;p

LOL, nevertheless, a good price! I know of a few people getting it at 1700ish. I myself getting at 1680
Ohh oki but i think the cheapest you can find on the market currently is 1650$
I also just got my D90....
$1680 with lots of free gifts. Cash too. Comes with tripod, camera bag, laptop bag, 4GB
Before D90 launch, I was preparing to pay $1900. Now to get it at this price one week after launch, is really a good deal for me.

No i think those two are different items. See the comma on his post between camera bag and laptop bag. I think the nikon bag is the usual cam bag that comes to the package but the lowepro laptop bag is quite cool and nice. O BTW i got the same package where h2chng get his.

The Canon EOS450d seems to be producing better image quality as compared to NIKON.

A camera is only as good as it's user.. buy what you NEED.. not what you think has the most functions for the money. The thing is some functions people hardly use.. Plus, buying either, you have to decide what system you are gonna commit into. Think about which brand, canon or nikon, has a more accessible range of lenses for you which you might upgrade to..
as for the review, the reviewer had D lighting set active. What it does it balance a scene to have more dynamic range than contrast. Notice the slight details in the shadows of the trees versus a blackish patch on the 450D. If he wants contrast, D lighting should be off anyway.
