Price Check - Ricoh GR1v

would any1 have the knowledge of the Singapore price of perhaps a brand new GR1V?

In Oz now, and found a 2nd GR1s for A$699, an ex-demo for A$799. I haven't been back in SG for a while and have no idea if any of the shops still hold stock?

Got mine 2 yrs back at S$700 new.

Its quite expensive, comparing to my minilux that I bought from Cathay Photo 2 years ago at S$980.

So, for the price difference, I would highly recommend the minilux. Its a P&S with a overkill 40mm f2.4 lens.

Personally, I would not recommend this Ricoh GR1v camera. I had one of these and in less than a year time, the camera broke down. The viewfinder had black clement leaking out and the shutter jam and I have some unexposed pictures sometimes. :thumbsd:
The viewfinder itself is very dim and when you hold it together with a Contax T3 side by side, you can then see alot of diff.
Get a Contax T3 and you will never go wrong!
FYI, Ricoh had stopped the compact film camera market and having it serviced in the future might have some diffculties.

I like the Richo because it's so much more slimmer then the T3 and a minilux. I was contemplating a minlux initially. I reckon it's a matter of finding the best deal.
