I haven't got a bag for myself...and I need a lens blower and is thinking of a mini tripod too......any good suggestion for bag?
can consider lowepro...got 1 from AP only $45

Izit bigger than the original Canon bag that comes with the purchase with purchase? If not, I think the original one looks ok......

slightly bigger...more compartments which i find it more useful than the canon bag

OIC. But I dun think I will be getting too many accessories, so I am now looking for a compact bag....:) May be any one here intent to sell away the kit which comes with their S3?

No, dun think so. I have been keeping my finepix without drybox for the past 4 yrs, no prob....;p

u buying the dry box??

the original canon casing for the powershot is quite cramped, just enough to put the camera and a side pouch to put the batteries and that's about it. it relies on the camera strap as it does not have its own strap

Are you interested in the Canon digital camera bag? It's just nice for the S3 with compartments for extra batteries, cards etc but not if you have any adapters etc. Reason why I asked is because I have two of them, one unopened, and I am thinking of selling it but not sure how much to ask for.

It comes with the mini-tripod and cleaning kit (blower with brush, cotton bud, cleaning tissue, cleaning lotion and microfibre cleaning cloth).

Hey, me selling my 2nd unopened kit. SMS me at 96866768. I put my S3 in the bag. Front pouch contains the mini-tripod and blower brush. Right side pouch contains 4 spare batteries. Left side pouch contains another 4 spare batteries plus SD card container. Inside pouch not used. Good enough for me. Material is weather resistant nylon fabric. Has its own sling strap.

I think that is the leather pouch. I did not like it.

Hi... U can check out some previous threads on S3... They mentioned abt buying this for $15 to $20... Let me noe if u r willing to let go for $10. Thanks.

I think you are talking about the leather pouch...it is open top and not splash proof.....I don't like it too.:)

Yes it is, its kind of a weird design. I don't know where to keep the pouch when you take the camera out of the pouch since the camera sling is attached to the camera. oh well... :dunno:

Hi guys if you re-code your video from the S3 .AVI to a DivX, then the size of the file will be reduced by 75%! And the quality doesn't change much.

brought mine @ MS color @ 760. NOw still playing with it...
My 1st compact camera.... wah... lots to learn....

Hi lastboltnut,

What SW do you use to re-code? Free one? Does the recoding process take long?

I like to take video clips of my kids doing funny things but they reallly eat up space on my HDD like nobody's business man...

This encoding pack is freeware! Thanks to this guy with a nick "The New Guy" from the USA. He did it for video conversion. U can convert your video to the lastest Xvid MPEG4 or the DivX format.

U may need to do some read up that comes with the download to learn how to use.

NOTE: Please backup your original during conversion.....use at your own discretion hor, don't blame me for any data lost har. Thank you.

Hands on very much faster. Manual only if you get confused/stuck. Go shoot pics and post. We will help guide one another and learn from one another
