I have a similar prob with one of my Sanyo 2500.

I also using Sanyo 2500, no problem. If 1 out of 4 is bloated, be careful , battery maybe faulty

Its not exactly bloated, more like one edge of the wrapping sticks out a bit.

I read in dpreview forum some time back that the ISO information is not captured in the Exif info for the S3, but it can be retrieved by some (rather complicated way to me) method. I will post the link if I find it. So, this may not be a problem with your camera.

Same here, think the rechargeable is slightly big...

Hi,

Has anyone tried the Powerex from Maha on the S3? Does it have the "bloated" batts problem? Also, any tips on how to get the bloated batts out gently? I was a little worried about how much I had to shake the cam just to get the batts out.

No need to shake. Gentlely use fingers to pull out can already.

Hmm... a bit challenging leh. My fingers quite fat. haha...

Anyway, just got my cam back yesterday. Canon service centre claims that some SW cannot see some settings in exif file for S3 and even some other powershot cams (apparently including S2). Even the SW provided with their DSLR apparently also cannot see and they don't really know why. But they assured me that Zoombrowser Ex got no prob. It sounded like it was an issue known to them. I found the whole explaination quite crappy and the experience a waste of my time and parking fees. When I first contacted them via email to ask, they could have told me that instead of asking me to bring my cam down for them to check.

Anyway, I am glad to have the cam back so that I can continue to play with it.

Finally joined the S3 club just today...have tested the camera, so far so good :D

thanks. turns out that S3 is pretty intuitive to use. but its probably easier if you were a canon user previously like myself. ;)

Wonder what will happen after 16July..... no more digital kit?

Kit not useful IMHO. Cannot fit the S3 IS with the mini tripod, etc..... all at once.....

I have it and want to get rid of it....

Tell me about it, think I can only stuff the 1540 pro with adapter in it now....

Actually, I find the kit just nice for me. Camera goes in the main compartment, but of course mine is without any adapters etc. Mini-tripod plus the lens blower in the front pouch. Extra batteries and SD card at the side pouches. Nice and compact for me.

have collected the freebies. the free sd card given by canon is a toshiba 512MB card.

Good Deal ! just incase anyobe else there looking for good bargain

Just got myself a S3 IS
SGD 735 - Sim Lim - Song's B
Yet to collect my freebies.

I haven't got a bag for myself...and I need a lens blower and is thinking of a mini tripod too......any good suggestion for bag?
