The extended warranty is given by Canon. A form is in the box for you to apply.

Just came back from Expo. The guy offered to throw in the bag free for $849. Not a good offer at all, considering you can get the cam for $760.

If one has the Harvey Norman Card, one could get 5% discount
for which the price would work out to be $806.

Be sure to bargain somemore, engage the most senior salesman
(because they have the power to give).
Maybe can bargain for the extended warranty.

I would rather go to AP, CP or MS and get at cheaper price with the freebies. I for one will not pay Recommended Retail Prices from the big shops.

i get very skeptical when shop keeps half the warranty, somemore without name. what's wrong with giving you the entire warranty card and you just post it in, i ask.

BTW How you guys clean the body of your cam??? For me I just use a damp cloth to clean it and use a dry cloth to dry it.

New Toy syndrome! Hehehe, trust me you are going to end up with scratches & all. I wipe with a dry cloth. If its dusty, use a very damp cloth. For the lens, I have only had a problem once, had to use a bit of 100% ethanol to get rid of an oily fingerprint.

1GB Kingston standard SD is about $38. 2500mAh rechargeables are about $12 for 4 pcs. But is the extra 1GB on top of the free 512MB card? If not, your extra is only 512MB which is about $20+.

Sandisk Ultra II may be double the price. In my opinion, over-priced because of the brand. I won't buy Sandisk.

You can get rechargeable Sanyo 2500mAh from Alan Photo, SLS. Should be $3 each. If come in a plastic case, you may have to pay $1 or $2 more for the case. Shop will try to seel you at $12 to $14 for the pack of 4.

Yah, best place to get batt is SLS or SLT, not in mega store or outside shop.....anyway, i got the "Konoc" 2hr quick charger with LCD display that come with fully accessories (car adaptor, usb adaptor and 4 2500mah batt) only $30 at SLT, last year.

UltraII is high speed though......but I use other cheaper brand (but must make sure the speed they spec is the mini and not max) like twinmos and cellugine.
