Hi Williamku,
Would appreciate if you could advise from which Harvey Norman did you get the S3. I thought that normally all the big electronic shops sells at RRP? BTW what is the Canon digital kit? Thks.

I just got mine from Harvey Norman for a total of $859.
o $799 for the S3 + two 512MB SD cards (1 from Canon) + dry case + one 4AA GP rechargable pack + Canon digital kit
o $60 for two years extended warranty + free another two years (total 5 years warranty haha kiasi)
Would have enjoyed a 5% discount if I use my Harvey Norman card but opted for a 24-month interest-free instalment payment. Worked out to be about $1 everyday for two years.

Canon digital kit comprise the nylon bag, mini tripod and cleaning kit. $15 to $25 at outside shops.

OT again: Ahh.... I got mine after Canon made it a rule that you have to pick up from them. Some shops used to sell the bags as 'extra items'.

Harvey Norman Sale at Expo this weekend.

Not good at all :

Wah, I always thought it was inclusive but when I checked the T & Cs, it appears to be total 3 years. In that case, I better go and buy but I have already exceeded the 14 day period. By the way, it should be $70 if apply within 14 days.

Just came back from Expo. The guy offered to throw in the bag free for $849. Not a good offer at all, considering you can get the cam for $760.

Raynox has a 2.2x version.

Well, it really depends on what you want to shoot. For normal, everyday use, the zoom is enough. However, if you want to take shots of animals or birds, like at the zoo, the tele extender will come in usefull. Most of the compatible ones are the 1.5X extenders, gives you about 600mm of reach. Good enough to shoot the moon with. :)

Me too. Cannot find to whom I should write the cheque to. In the end, I just write to Canon Singapore, follow the name shown on address. As for the guarantee card, I have both portions. Your shop could have mailed the other portion for you.

Pictures come out bad. Lots of CA. Think its more for cams with shorter zoom ranges. You can try it on Sat.

Yes as they will check.

Hi felix, I was actually saying I only have the customer copy in my box, so I was asking if Jackal and skyraider has the same situation as we bought the cam together......
