is it? I thought it has USM.

anyway unless you practice a lot, you will find it very hard to pick out the exact focus point. i.e. it looks focused on the LCD, then upload to the computer then realise you focus ion your gerfren's pimple instead of pupil.

I think you should use everything AUTO until you are ready to experiment with MANUAL, feature by feature. You are still very new to the camera, even not sure how to preview the pictures taken. So, you should learn all the basic features first. No point trying to learn how to run before you can even walk.

hahaz.. yeahz. datz y haf to really master it.. had my S2 for mths, but still fail to do it. ha..

yah after you practice enough (like my 55,000 fish shots) you will have a kind of "feeling" one. heehee when it start to get in focus, you will have tingling sensation in your eyeballs.

hahaz.. i see u're rather accomplished in fish eh. coolz.. how u take them? wif any filters anotz?

+4 to +9 close-up loh. then prefocus (basically to frame the fish for its size) then start tracking the fish by moving the cam. when the "feeling" is there, SNAP! heehee.

depending on the type of fish, can get about 5-10% useable shots. I usually do a 4 hour sitting, and shoot 2-300 hundred shots, and get maybe 10-15 good ones.

I should explain that my keep rate is very low because I need pix that has the fish completely parallel to me, properly exposed, sharp until can see scales and count fins, etc.

Bought a Vacuum type box to store my S3 IS from MS Color for $18! Was told by them no silicon needed ;)

How does it remove the air inside? Need vacuum cleaner to suck out the air? ;)

The moon looks not bad, but a little over expose.
I think if you crop it, will look better :)
