hmm dun work for me. cos the end of the bridge leads to nowhere and empty white space.

pardon me, overall, i dun quite like your style of using PP to remove elements from photos that was originally there. make it very unreal and uncomfortable at time.

Hi sinned79, thanks for comments and nice thread at Lombok. For me is just a fun piece and to me is an abstract piece and a digital manipulation.Yes, some may like some may not all.:)

nice! how do you do the dramatic effect in PS?

Pardon me for the super duper late reply as I was busy and away from this thread for quite a bit! haha
Anyway, from the "before" file that you see , you first need to conceptualize which part should be darker and which part brighter, so as to create the drama and lock the viewer's eyes on the couple.
From that point on, it's all about selective editing on each individual section of the image, either by masking/selections, or burning/dodging. If I did not remember wrongly, the car was dodged and burned to create the shiny effect.

Here's a more recent Before and After Shot.

I am trying to emulate an old b/w film look.

- Did a S curve in Canon DPP software, export as jpg
- Load in lightroom and applied a Ilford film preset, apply slight sharpening, apply light noise
