Canon releases one every 6mths, I'm not surprised.. :bsmilie:

At least each upgrade got significant improvement

better than wait 1 whole year and only come out with a model with little bit of changes and then re-label it as "new-model" :bsmilie: :bsmilie:

Why? What cannot you shoot without a full frame?

Go MF or even LF if you want to.

With possibility of a D3 released by mid or end of next year 2006. I won't keep my hopes too high for a massive price drop unless the S$ has a sudden hype.

Maybe expecting it to be S$6.8k is about the best hope we have. I too was put off by it's current pricing and have decided to wait thus went to pick up a D70s to keep me happy till I could afford one or someone to sell one 2nd hand year end.

But I guess Nikon is now committed to non-full frame sensor size on their DSLR's, seeing more design advantages to it than full-frame...

On the contrary, Nikon has no need to stick to the 1.5x crop if they don't want. The DX lenses issue is not anything major. I've posted how they can have the cake and eat it too ;)

Yo ESPN, saw yr MO of the D70s. When r u gonna MO the D2x??

When they've enough stock of course. Now no stock I MO also no use. :(

Checked the price last week and it was below $7k cash already.

Espn, would it be possible to let us know around what price your MO will be?

He's quoteing me this price but others higher, sorry. But it goes to show that it can be lower than $7K.

I will wait patiently for good news from ESPN.

The MO is in the consumer's section. I don't know if it's a good price tho'. :dunno:

Just a little leak from the equipment dpt of the company i'm with. Most of the techs there and the dept which handles the consignments with Nikon are already talking of varients of the D2xs with buffer/sensor upgrades.

So, i wouldn't be surprized if there's already a D3 in the making? But rest for sure that there'll be a rebate bonanza come end of this year for the d2x and all existing digital products as always.

Sigh.. i guess that's digital tech for u. :dunno:

As for the new varients, i'll try to keep everyone here posted, as long as it's within my "legal" means.

Hi, any idea if this is the right time to buy D70s or should i wait till the year end rebate?
Sorry guys, off track abit. :)
