Poor Luck - Price Drop 40D

Sigh, I just bought my 40D 4 days ago from Cathay Photo and now the price has dropped by 300 dollars? Canon should have a price protection scheme or give a rebate to customers!

as usual, my advice to all is: if wanna buy canon, only buy their high end models. If wanna get lower end models, get a nikon.

Someone in the same shoe as you, he drop a mail to canon and they offer to give him a printer worth $300, you can try it also.

Well you could continue being frustrated about it, or you could put it aside and continue shooting.

high end = D3, 1ds Mkiii, 1d mkiii (these 3 only)

To me anything that don't comes from Japan is CMI (Cannot make it):bsmilie: Just go to Nikon service center and see how many D300 is dead within a mth.

hehhe... waht do you expect from electronic items.. price will definitely drop.. my 400D - for the price i pay when it first came out, i could get one with the 17-85 now.

I find that canon have a better after sale service, just try ur luck email them. They will give u an ans.
Not like nikon they will push u here an there, at the end never give u an ans.

Even Canon's highest end cameras get replaced quickly (around 1.5 yrs). Only 5D manages more than 2 yrs.

Guys, I think Canon has the best customer support. Alex from canon just called after I faxed in my invoice and warrenty. They offered 3 options for good will. 1 - They will give me a ES20 Printer worth 299, 2 - They will up my 40D Body warrenty for 2 extra yrs and 3 - a small compact camera.
I think they have it right as a service..
