Actually the DSLR fraternity (the older ones) would have cut their teeth on very similar film cameras to the new OM. I am a long term OM user, I got my first one in 1977 and as the years went by I upgraded ending up with an OM-4Ti, a thoroughly professional camera with features not seen on the latest DSLRs today. It is capable of multiple spot metering anywhere in the frame. see the picture below of my OM-4ti and OM-D side by side

The black really looks very nice.. I wonder if it will age better than the silver. Too bad I have so many silver lenses...
