Hi all,

I recently bought a Polaroid 600 Job Pro 2.
I knew about the closure of Polaroid's production of films and shutdown of their factories, and the start of Impossible Project.
The price of the films are ridiculous.

I have a used cartidge with me, the battery still works fine. For now. (*-EDIT Battery just died.)
I am thinking of buying Fujifilm's 4x5 Film and loading them up the Used Cartridge after cutting them up into the right size.
Would this work?

Some examples of 4x5 Sheet film are the Fujifilm's
FP-100C (ISO100)
FP-3000B (ISO 3000)

One other problem is that the films have different ISOs.
I don't know how to overcome this, some mentioned placing the filter in front of the lens to trick the camera into using a longer or shorter exposure.

Current Battery hack

But please, just answer the question in bold will do.
If it's a yes, I will proceed to work on this project.
Otherwise my camera will be a nice paperweight.

It won't work, as the camera will spit out the pic immediately once you take it. Even if you manage to bypass that, the FP-100C, FP-3000B etc are actually 3x4 instant film that's peel apart. The negative once taken needs to be flipped to face the positive, and you need to roll it through rollers to spread the development chemicals. You can't cut it into size too as basically you're gonna have a lot of problems with the development chemicals.. Battery hack shown is bad too; I've done a far better job with the door being able to be closed, nothing protruding out etc. Just get a 4x AAA battery holder, empty out the film pack, glue it in and place two metal plates at where the battery contacts are then solder the wires on after checking which is the positive and negative side onto the plates.. I wish you all the best of luck and keep us updated on your progress! Meanwhile if you'll like to save yourself the hassle I have some films that will fit for cheap; you can PM me for that.

Thanks for your prompt reply, I will be honest that I am not familiar with instant film particularly the integral and pack film.
The hack was merely to test if I can power the camera without having to use a new film pack from impossible, but using a refill method.
However the battery does not charge up the camera with the door closed.

Now that I have a better understanding regarding the problem with the film, I don't think it will be an easy hack.
I can only hope that more people start using old polaroid 600 cameras and the price of the film will go down.

Thanks!
