The pokemon go player didn't die. He spotted a group of people looking at a floating dead body in the water.
The dead body is floating on the water, meaning the person could have died a few days ago.

I was at Dingtaifeng wisma for lunch today and there were so many pokemons. I just thought orchard got a lot of people putting out lures.
