Pocketwizard Plus III


Someone interested to purchase 2 units has contacted me privately.

Just being very curious n confused. There's tt5, mini tt1 and ac3 allow long distance triggering, power adjustment but there's still demand for pw3. Am I missing something beneficial?
 

The tt5/tt1/ac3 setup does everything the pw3 does but more.
E.g. iTTL +/- 3 stops on zone A,B,C.
Manual 1/1 down to 1/64 flash power on zone A,B,C. All done from the on-camera ac3.
These cannot be done using pw3.
 

The tt5/tt1/ac3 remote power/ratio control features work only w matched nikon or canon speedlights. The pw3 is for those who want a more universal connectivity n not be restricted to matched nikon or canon speedlights.

In this case, can tt5 work on a strobe with a sync cable?

Looking for CSer's interested to join in to purchase Pocketwizard Plus III units at $185 ea. Need 5 units to qualify for the promo price from Cathay Photo. I m looking at 2 or 3 units myself.

Bro I am keen... but not sure if it can trigger Olympus FL-600R flash???
 

Bro, how do you intend to use the PW Plus III with your FL-600R? I don't know if your flash has the socket to accept the sync cable from the PW unit.

Bro, will be using it for off camera shooting.... Very noob in this.... Don't seem to have the socket.... It can only use rc to trigger...

dont think the FL-600R has pc sync.

you can always get the flex/mini. they have hotshoe mount
