I had tried the half press test button on the plus 3 to auto focus the camera with a plus 3 linked with a pre-trigger cable.
I works beautifully.

I am thinking of getting rid of the plus IIs to get one plus III and one multimax if there is a trade in.

Same here, have 3 plus IIs already
If want to get new ones, have to least get it in a pair or more,
so if there's a trade in that will be great
If not there will be more PWs in hand than strobes to attach it to :x
