So sorry if I appear too lazy, can someone point out some differences betw. FlexTT5 & Plus II/III? After reading for a while on the Internet I still can't see the main difference.

Simply

FlexTT5 can transmit ETTL or ITTL information to the other receiving flashes while
Plus II/ coming Plus III is pure triggering.

If that's the case I don't see the advantage using Plus II/III over Flex&Min combo, losing feature such as HSS and remote power adjustments (via AC3). As each piece is a transceiver which would make them equally expensive isn't it?

True. But it also depends on own preference.
Flex and mini has an advantage if you are using camera and flash information to communicate and trigger. What you want to achieve, is what the system can achieve.

To me I used manual settings more often. That is why plus 2 or 3 is more suitable for me.

Mini & Flex can also shoot manually using basic trigger mode or AC3 in M mode right? The only down side is the last stop of 1/128 that the AC3 cannot reach.

Of course. Both can be programmed to do that.
:)

Could you state a benefit for using Plus II/IIi over the Mini & Flex combo?

its cheaper and not everyone uses it to trigger camera flash. the flex is very bulky as well.

the users excited here are all using studio strobes.

For Plus II/III you can change the channel to any much easily than the Mini/Flex. You have to hook up to a comp for the latter to reflect any changes if they are not in the configuration.

The Pros had answered the question.:)
Plus III had added the advantage of 32 Standard channels and Quad-Zone triggering.

Received my PW Plus III today. :)

Some review the product which I tested in last Saturday's shoot.

First impression: It has a futuristics design, shaped like a "Fin". The antenna is now hidden in the device. The display panel and button is now on the side of the product when put onto the camera's hotshoe. Not like the previous version where the buttons are displayed facing the photographer. The product is very light and durable. The buttons are made of rubber and very responsive. The test button has the higher profile than the rest. Maybe it is meant for the half press function. The display panel now displaying the battery indicator. This is a good move. Now I can monitor the battery comsumption till it run out of power. Beside battery indicator, the panel also display the different modes and the channels and the group.

Usage: There are increased of channels and modes in the product. Total; 32 channels ( Channel 1 - 16 is for normal triggering, Channel 17 - 32 is for Quad-zone triggering. The channels can be changed by pressing the up and down button. For fast changes on channels, you need to press and hold the button. As for the modes, there are Auto-Sensing and Auto-Relay, Long Range Capability, Auto-Sensing and Auto-Relay and High Speed Performance etc. These modes can also be found the multimax, which is the master of all wireless triggers. I particularly love the auto-relay mode, which I can just set the camera on the tripod and position the lightings and trigger them from the sofa seat. :bsmilie:. Now with the quad-zone, I can switch on and off the lightings and cameras that I want. No need to walk over to them to do so. (PS: I am sensing that I will be a crouch potato soon.)

Price: Nothing to say. LOVE!

Nice review. I shall buy 2 sets when i have the money :bsmilie:
